Blueberry Cobbler Protein Granola

Cobbler
It's blueberry season. And that means lots of fresh blueberries! So, what did I do with my blueberries? I made some kick-ass blueberry cobbler protein granola, that's what!

And what did I do with my blueberry cobbler protein granola? I submitted it for entry in the proteinpow.com 2014 Protein Wizard competition. So, check it out. And once you start drooling over your keyboard, cast a vote for this blueberry cobbler protein granola. Then, mop up that puddle of drool and go make yourself some.

Crunchier
Likely the first question you are wondering is what makes this granola special. Well, there are a lot of
things. It's made with real blueberries. It uses honey instead of molasses. It's low in sugar. It has protein powder in the recipe. Oh, did I mention there are graham crackers in there too?

What makes it blueberry cobbler special? The name comes from both the taste and the texture. Originally, I made it with whole fresh blueberries, which made parts of it soft like a cobbler. Then I made it softer with blueberry puree added to the mix, which literally made it taste about as close to blueberry cobbler as you could get with granola. Warm some of that up with a scoop of ice cream, Yea, that's what Willis was
talking about!

Crunchiest
Finally, for the granola purists out there who just gotta have that crunch, I made it with dried blueberries. This gave it a dry crunch that still tasted great. Sure, the cobbler texture was gone. But for the crunchy at heart it was really hard to beat. It was so good that I just finished my 3rd batch. And I don't mean 'finished' as in finished baking. I mean that I literally ate 3 batches. And you know what... awesome!
