PB & Chocolate Protein Ice Cream

A few weeks ago I saw a post on a simple way to make your own ice cream without actually having to make ice cream. And of course I instantly thought, "I wonder if I could make a high-protein version of that!" And you know what, I did! And I made it peanut butter and chocolate flavor!

OK, OK, so this stuff isn't really ice cream. And as a result, it doesn't have exactly the same texture as ice cream. But it is creamy (especially after a couple of seconds in the microwave) and it doesn't freeze solid like a brick. And it tastes really good! So, it's not exactly like ice cream. But it's close enough, it tastes great and it's REALLY easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 3scoops Phase 8 Chocolate Peanut Butter
  • 3tbsp Jiff Powdered Peanut Butter (PB2 would work too)
  • 100g Cool Whip
  • 9oz Skim Milk (Almond Milk would also work)

Directions

  1. Combine the Phase 8 and the powdered peanut butter in a bowl
  2. Mix in the milk
  3. Mix in the Cool Whip (a fork will work, but a handheld blender or mixer is better)
  4. Freeze for 3-4hours until firm
  5. Eat all dem proteinz!
