Low Fat Double Chocolate Cheesecake
Two of my favorite things are chocolate and cheesecake. And this recipe has both! But wait, that's not all... it's also low in fat with a healthy serving of protein. So, what's different about this cheesecake compared to the others on allnaturalmuscle.com? This cheesecake has chocolate chips inside and it doesn't have any protein powder in it. But the important part is how it tastes. Fortunately, it's pretty darn fantastic.
This cheesecake was inspired mostly because I was going through my cabinets and I noticed some dark chocolate cocoa powder and a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Hmm... I thought, what could I make with this? And just as I thought that, my girlfriend said, "When are you going to make another cheesecake?" And there it was, staring me right in the face. A dark chocolate chocolate chip cheesecake or a double chocolate cheesecake for short.
And this cheesecake would be different. Unlike other cheesecakes that I made in the past, this cheesecake would have no protein powder in it. Why? Well, for some reason, my girlfriend is not a huge fan of cheesecake with protein powder. It's kind of like feeding a kid his favorite food and then telling him that it's actually good for him - immediate rejection. And to be quite honest, there are times when I have made cheesecakes with protein powder that she loved because I didn't tell her that they had protein powder in them. Shhh... it's our secret.
But this time, I decided to leave out the protein powder. I just wanted a low fat chocolatey treat. And this fit the bill perfectly! It truly is an incredibly chocolaty cheesecake!
